This Happens only in India

This Happens only in India

These pictures go a long way in showing why India is the second fastest growing economy in the world. Things which would be unimaginable anywhere else are routine matter here. How we deal with this is an amazing aspect of being Indian.

Who is Connected to who!!! Where is the fault in this connection.

Swami Nityananda’s sex scandal video

After Kalki Bhagavan’s scam, Swami Nityananda’s sex scandal video has surfaced shaking the devotees faith in the religious leaders and god-men, who are treated equivalent to gods by followers. Don't make me say I told you so, but I did tell you bozos so!

The video shows Swami Nityananda and two actress Ranjitha and Ragasudha (The actresses name seems to have been added to make the news spicey, there is no confirmation on this) which are supposed to be parts of sex scandals by the Nityananda.

A video showing swamiji (we still like to add ji suffix to the name of the fun loving exalted swami as it might hurt the sentiments of fun loving people) in compromising position (compromising is putting it lightly, swami was having fun dude) with a popular Tamil actress was released by Sun News on Tuesday, Mar 2, leading to violence at the Swamiji’s ashrams.

There is doubt about the man in the video is Swami Nityanand but there is speculation as to the identity of the woman in the video. While some speculate that the actress in the video is Ragasudha, others suggest that the woman is Tamil actress Ranjita.

The video, which came as a massive shock to the godman’s followers (because he was having all the fun alone. While he made them just sit and meditate he got masturbated), has led to widespread protests (understandable when one person has all the goodies). In Coimbatore, angry followers took to streets and vandalised property, the Swami’s Ashram in Bidadi is also seeing similar scenes.

Paramahamsa Nithyananda is (WAS) a spiritual guru. He was born on January 1, 1978 in Tamil Nadu, India. He is the founder of Dhyanapeetam, a worldwide movement. The foundation has its headquarters in Bengaluru (Bangalore),India.

In 2007, he was elected chairman of the Hindu University of America, also known as the International Vedic Hindu University, an institution in the U.S. state of Florida. I wonder if they will sack him now or hire a new chairman.

Life Bliss Foundation is Nithyananda's movement (although the video shows swami enjoyed other kind of movements as well). Established in 2003, it now consists of over 1000 centers in 33 different countries. The foundation also owns Nithyananda Meditation Academies (NMAs) worldwide.

For all those looking for spiritual enlightenment I can only suggest the following: Do not follow Swami's and Godmen, Dude become a Swami or godman and con people and make money and generally have a good time.

Human Jet Croses English Channel

Human Jet, Swiss adventurer Yves Rossy, known as Fusionman, successfully crossed the English Channel using his homemade jet-propelled wing Friday, the first man to perform the feat.
Yves Rossy makes a safe landing after successfully crossing the English Channel.

Yves Rossy makes a safe landing after successfully crossing the English Channel.

Rossy leapt from a plane more than 8,800 feet or a mile and a half from the ground, before firing up his jets.He had postponed his flight earlier because of poor visibility. "It's not so safe to fly across water if you can't see," Rossy told National Geographic Channel in a live television interview Thursday. "I don't have any instruments, and I need to be able to see the landing site."

The human jet made the 22-mile trip from Calais in France to Dover in England in a little under 15 minutes.

He began the Friday flight just before 1207 GMT; by 12:15 GMT, Rossy was above British soil and looped over onlookers before opening his parachute, with his wings still strapped to his back.

He touched down in a field near the famous white cliffs of Dover.

The trip across the Channel is meant to trace the route of French aviator Louis Bleriot, the first person to cross the narrow body of water in an airplane 99 years ago.

End of the World or a New Dawn

They are going to fire up that particle accelerator called Large Hadron Collider (LHC) [no dude , it is not hard on] on Wednesday and many people are afraid it might be the end of the world. Why ? Because mini black holes will be created in that experiment.

I don't think the earth will be destroyed but yes, it will be an end of an era in human evolution (yes dude, I'm sure it is not hard on collider).

In the most complex scientific experiment ever undertaken, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will be switched on Wednesday, accelerating sub-atomic particles to nearly the speed of light before smashing them together.

Deep underground on the border between France and Switzerland, the world's largest particle accelerator complex will explore the world on smaller scales than any human invention has explored before.

The test, which takes place Wednesday, is a major step toward seeing if the the immense experiment will provide new information about the way the universe works, or why it is there in the first place and what is the basic building block.

The collider consists of a particle accelerator buried more than 300 feet near Geneva, Switzerland. About $10 billion (yes, that could have given you many a hard ons instead of just one hadron) have gone into the accelerator's construction, the particle detectors and the computers, said Katie Yurkewicz, spokewoman for CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, which is host to the collider.

In the coming months, the collider is expected to begin smashing particles into each other by sending two beams of protons around the tunnel in opposite directions. It will operate at higher energies and intensities in the next year, and the experiments could generate enough data to make a discovery by 2009, experts say.

Although renowned British astrophysicist Stephen Hawking has bet 100 dollars (70 euros) that this experiment will not find an elusive particle seen as a holy grail of cosmic science. (you think those guys spent $10 billion to win $ 100!!!)

Experts say the collider has the potential to confirm theories about questions that physicists have been working on for decades including the possible existence of extra dimensions. They also hope to find a theoretical particle called the Higgs boson, which has never been detected, but would help explain why matter has mass.

The collider will recreate the conditions of less than a millionth of a second after the Big Bang, when there was a hot "soup" of tiny particles called quarks and gluons, to look at how the universe evolved, said John Harris, U.S. coordinator for ALICE, a detector specialized to analyze that question.

Why should the layperson care about this particular exploration? Years ago, when electrons were first identified, no one knew what they were good for, but they have since transformed our entire economy.

Fears have emerged that the collider could produce black holes that could suck up anything around them -- including the whole Earth. Such fears prompted legal actions in the U.S. and Europe to halt the operation of the Large Hadron Collider, alleging safety concerns regarding black holes and other phenomena that could theoretically emerge.

Although physicists acknowledge that the collider could, in theory, create small black holes, they say they do not pose any risk. A study released Friday by CERN scientists explains that any black hole created would be tiny, and would not have enough energy to stick around very long before dissolving.

On Wednesday the first protons will be injected into a 27-kilometre (16.9-mile) ring-shaped tunnel, straddling the Swiss-French border at the headquarters of the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN).

Physicists have long puzzled over how particles acquire mass. In 1964, a British physicist, Peter Higgs, came up with this idea: there must exist a background field that would act rather like treacle.

The standard quip about the Higgs is that it is the "God Particle" -- it is everywhere but remains frustratingly elusive. This is what they are hoping to find.

And yes, it might give some scientists a hard on if they find it. Good luck!

World's most expensive and amazing ad

This is the world's costliest Advertisement and the winner of this year's best Ad of the world.

It took 606 takes and re-takes to make this commercial and the total cost was $ 6.2 million( Rs.26 crore) for this 90 second commercial.

You could probably make a movie for that kind of money (In India at least) !

Everything is real with no graphics used and still look at the precision. The team that made this commercial won many awards.

The precision is mind boggling and the engineering and technical skill needed to make this advertisement is awesome.

Nayanthara mms clip link

There is a mms clip floating around the net claimed by many to be of the south indian actress Nayanthara. The actress meanwhile has filed a police complaint alleging that her rivals are circulating a fake MMS clip showing Nayanthara in a compromising pose with Tamil actor Simbu.

“This is the work of rivals, jealous of my fame and bankability on the eve of the August release of ‘Kuselan’ and ‘Sathyam,’ both big budget ventures,” Nayanthara was quoted as saying.

Nayanthara was rumoured to be romantically linked with Shimbu but she claims that she has a “friendly relationship” with him, and nothing more.

According to sources, the allegedly morphed MMS clip took its origin in Tiruchirappalli, and has been widely circulated since then.

Earlier, actresses Trisha, Jyothika and Namitha have been victims of such fake MMS clips, according to industry sources.

The police has registered a case but no arrests have been made so far. We will soon find out Whether the Nayanthara mms clip is real or fake but by then it would have done its damage to the standing of the actress.

You can check out the Nayanthara mms clip link at this site and decide for yourself its authenticity.

Stunning Animal attack videos

Even trained and domesticated animals can be unpredicatable as these videos show. For all of you who poke and tease animals this should be a fair warning.

Warning: These videos are really graphic and violent so faint hearted please refrain from viewing them.

In this other video the elephant takes out its pent up frustration on its trainer cum owner. Moral of the story: don't tease something with a trunk cause it can boot you.

How people think they are very brave if they can play around with lions. Remember all those movies where the villain or his henchman has a puma or a cheetah on a leash. Well this poor guy also thought that it will make him look brave if he would pet this lion. Unfortunately the lion had other ideas.

So guys don't pet your pet too much it might just spring a surprise on you.

The incredible Motorbike show

This is an incredible performance by the Italian police bikers. The performance and the choreography of these motorbike daredevils is amazing. This requires the precision of a surgeon and the courageous heart. One wrong move by any one rider could have caused an accident. There timing and precision defy words. Only seeing is believing.

Billionaire gives it all to Dogs

Whoever said "its was a dogs life" had no clue about Leona Helmsley and her billions.

She is the billionaire New York hotelier and real estate magnate and she left millions to her beloved dog, Trouble, not only that, she left billions for the care of dogs in general.

Helmsley left instructions that an entire charitable trust valued at close to $8 billion and amounting to virtually all of her estate, be used for the care and welfare of dogs.

She had two goals set in her will when she made it in 2003. The two goals set in her will were to help indigent people and the to provide for the care and welfare of dogs. But a year later, she deleted the first goal. Don't you wish you were a dog rather than destitute.

Helmsley, was known as "the Queen of Mean" because of the way she dealt with her employees, but she had a soft spot for her dog. But a New York court last month lowered the dog's inheritance to $2 million from $12 million on grounds that Helmsley was mentally unfit when she made her will.

Helmsley died in August 2007 at age 87. She amassed a fortune in real estate and hotels with her husband, Harry Helmsley, who died in 1997.

Famously quoted as having said "only the little people pay taxes," Helmsley spent 18 months in federal prison for evading $1.7 million in taxes in 1989. Now taxes are used for human welfare and she was a dog person.

I think we will have to change the quote from "its a dogs life" "to its a destitute's life".

Weird origins of some wedding customs

All of our society's gender issues stem from the fact that fathers once used their daughters as currency to a) pay off a debt to a wealthier land owner, b) symbolize a sacrificial, monetary peace offering to an opposing tribe or c) buy their way into a higher social strata.

So next time your tears well up watching a beaming father walk his little girl down the aisle, remember that it's just a tiny, barbaric little custom over from the days when daughters were nothing but commodity for dad to trade with. (he had to make sure she reached the aisle)

And that veil she's wearing? Yeah, that was so the groom wouldn't know what he was getting until it was time to kiss the bride and too late to back out on the transaction. (There is also some superstitious B.S. about warding off evil spirits, but we think you'll agree that hiding a busted grill from the husband-to-be is a more practical purpose.)

The white wedding dress

Technically, today's wedding gowns aren't white. They are "Candlelight," "Warm Ivory," "Ecru" or "Frost." But there was a time when a bride's wedding attire was simply the best thing in her closet (talk about "off the rack"), and could be any color, even black.

To convince her groom that she came from a wealthy family, brides would also pile on layers of fur, silk and velvet, as apparently grooms didn't care if his wife-to-be reeked of sweaty body odor as long as she was loaded.

It was Queen Victoria (whose reign lasted from 1837-1901) who made white fashionable. She wore a pale gown trimmed in orange blossoms for her 1840 wedding to her first cousin, Prince Albert.

Hordes of royal-crazed commoners immediately began to copy her.

The wedding party

The orignal duty of a "Best Man" was to serve as armed backup for the groom in case he had to resort to kidnapping his intended bride away from disapproving parents. The "best" part of that title refers to his skill with a sword, should the need arise.

The best man stands guard next to the groom right up through the exchange of vows (and later, outside the newlyweds' bedroom door), just in case anyone should attack or if a non-acquiescent bride should try to make a run for it.

It's said that feisty groups like the Huns, Goths and Visigoths took so many brides by force that they kept a cache of weapons stored beneath the floorboards of churches for convenience. Modern-day best men are more likely to store an emergency six-pack at the ceremony for convenience, but the title remains an apt one.

Ladies -- believe it or not -- the concept of the bridesmaid's gown was not invented to inflict painful dowdiness upon the bride's friends and female relatives thus making the bride look hotter by comparison.

Historically, that dress you'll never wear again was actually selected with the purpose of tricking the eye of evil spirits and jealous ex-lovers (spicy!). Brides' faithful attendants were instructed to wear a dress similar to that of the bride so that during their group stroll to the church it would be hard for any ill-willed spirits or former lovers to spot the bride and curse/kidnap/throw rocks at her. (Ditto for the boys in matching penguin suits, saving the groom from a similar fate.)

Garter and bouquet toss

This pair of rituals has long been the scourge of the modern wedding guest. What could possibly be more humiliating than being forced out to the center of a parquet dance floor and being expected to demonstrate your desperation by diving for flying flowers?

How about grasping in the air for a lacy piece of undergarment that until moments ago resided uncomfortably close to the crotch of your buddy's wife? At any other point in time, that would make you seem wildly creepy. So why is it acceptable at a wedding?

It used to be that after the bride and groom said, "I do," they were to go immediately into a nearby room and consummate the marriage. Obviously, to really make it official, there would need to be witnesses, which basically led to hordes of wedding guests crowding around the bed, pushing and shoving to get a good view and hopefully to get their hands on a lucky piece of the bride's dress as it was ripped from her body.

Sometimes the greedy guests helped get the process going by grabbing at the bride's dress as she walked by, hoping for a few threads of good fortune. In time, it seems, people realized that this was all a bit, well... creepy, and it was decided that for modesty's sake the bride could toss her bouquet as a diversion as she made her getaway and the groom could simply remove an item of the bride's undergarments and then toss it back outside to the waiting throngs to prove that he was about to, uh, seal the deal.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue (and a sixpence in my shoe?)

A common theme that you've no doubt noticed throughout this post: humans used to be a superstitious bunch. This rhyming phrase neatly lists a number of English customs dating back to the Victorian age which, when worn in combination, should bring the bride oodles of fabulous good luck.

The something old was meant to tie the bride to her family and her past, while the something new represented her new life as the property of a new family. The item borrowed was supposed to be taken from someone who was already a successfully married wife, so as to pass on a bit of her good fortune to the new bride. The color blue stood for all sorts of super fun things like faithfulness, loyalty, and purity. The sixpence, of course, was meant to bring the bride and her new groom actual, cold, hard fortune.

Just in case that wasn't enough, brides of yore also carried bunches of herbs (which most brides now replace with expensive, out-of-season peonies) to ward off evil spirits. Mental Floss: More bizarre customs

Saving the wedding cake

Why do couples eat freezer-burned wedding cake on their one-year anniversary? To answer this, we must look to the lyrics of a schoolyard classic: First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in a baby carriage! It used to be assumed that when there was a wedding, a christening would follow shortly. So, rather than bake two cakes for the occasions, they'd just bake one big one and save a part of it to be eaten at a later date when the squealing bundle of joy arrived.

Eventually folks warmed to the idea of giving the poor kid his own, newly baked cake, but the custom of saving a portion of the wedding cake far longer than it should be saved and then eating it and deluding oneself to believe that it actually tastes good is one that persists to this day.

16500 Condoms for Antarctica base Scientists

What do you do when you are facing a six month long period in a freezing cold place with nowhere to go? Sex would cross your mind. At least it does cross the minds of those lonely research scientists and staff at the U.S. Research base in Antarctica.

Once they had stocked themselves with other life saving essential survival supplies, one of the last things to reach the U.S. research base in Antarctica before the onset of winter darkness was a year's supply of condoms. (they are lying. That supply would last an average householder a couple of life times and some to spare)

Bill Henriksen, the manager of the McMurdo base station, said nearly 16,500 condoms were delivered last month and would be made available, free of charge, to staff throughout the year to avoid the potential embarrassment of having to buy them. (they could have kept one person busy at the sales counter)

The base only has a skeleton staff of 125 persons through the long winter. Lets do some simple maths here. Assuming there is an equal number of male and female ratio on the base that makes roughly 62 couples. 16500 condoms divided by 62 is approximately 266 (give or take a torn condom :) ) and 6 months have 180 days. WOW...Everyone who wishes he/she was on that base raise your hand.

This simple maths means that on average they will be having sex 1.5 times a day. Heyyyy... aren't those guys going to do any research and stuff!!

"Since everybody knows everyone, it becomes a little bit uncomfortable," said Henriksen, the manager. I can tell he uses (misuses) maximum condoms. I just have a gut feeling dude.

About 125 scientists and staff are stationed at McMurdo base, the largest community in Antarctica, during the winter months when there is constant darkness. (What are they researching? Durability of the condom in darkness!!!)

The first sunrise will occur on August 20 and McMurdo's population will start to increase again in September when supply flights resume, peaking at more than 1,000 during the summer period.

If there is any condom malfunction maybe the population rise will be more than expected. ;)

Man leaps between 1 mile high towering ledges in Grand Canyon

Did you say you love a beautiful sunset! How far are you willing to go to take a picture of the sunset? A mile! In which direction?

This is what an unidentified man did. He jumped a one mile deep canyon from cliff ledge to another to get a good shot of the sunset.

This unidentified man was pictured leaping between two towering rocky ledges in the Grand Canyon carrying his camera and tripod under his arm. Now thats what I call capturing your sunset. It is a different matter that one slip and the sun would have set forever for this man.

An amateur photographer Hans van de Vorst recorded the moment as the man jumped the gap of about 8 feet (less than 3 meter) wearing just a pair of slippers. (eat that rock climbing and trekking gear sellers)

According to a crowd of onlookers, at first it seemed the man, wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and flip-flops, risked his life to take a picture of the sunset.

Vorst said that those onlookers were discussing how he managed to get on there in the first place and no one bothered with the sunset -- everyone's eyes were on this man and how he was going to get off the rock.

"He didn't grab the rock properly the first time and slipped back about half a meter before clinging on to it. Even then he didn't look fazed," Vorst added.

Although parts of the Canyon are very deep the photographer actually landed on a ledge between the two outcrops and steadied himself when he landed.

Warning: Don't try this at home :) and if you do, don't look down.

World's First Pregnant Man

Move over ladies, Men are coming to one exclusive field you had total control over, Child Birth!

Women have been participating in virtually every field supposed to be the exclusive male domain at one time or another, be it the corporate world, sports, politics, Armed forces, you name it and women had come and made their mark in once "men only" arenas.

This is the picture of Thomas Beatie, the transgender man of Oregon who got pregnant by artificial insemination, as he mows the lawn at his home May 18, 2008.

Beatie, the world's first pregnant man, has been photographed doing his domestic chores six weeks from giving birth.

Thomas and his wife Nancy have been married for five years, and have been trying to have children for two years, but Nancy is unable to bear children due to endometriosis. He has decided to carry his child as he has said, "Wanting to have a biological child is neither a male nor female desire, but a human desire. (we have been telling that to the ladies for ages but they never believed us man! Way to go dude and good luck).

Jannat actress Sonal slapped at airport

All’s not heaven (Jannat’) for Sonal Chauhan . Model turned actress Sonal Chauhan who has recently co-starred with actor Emran Hashmi in ‘Jannat’ is reported to have been manhandled at the Mumbai airport. Sources claim that the actress was slapped on her face by Zaroo in full view of public.

Chauhan, who was at the airport with her father, was going to collect her boarding pass for her 8 pm Jet Airways flight to Hyderabad, when Zaroo forcibly entered the airport terminal and slapped her in front of everyone. He even verbally abused and threatened her.

According to the police, the two had had a fight earlier in the day, which could be the reason why Zaroo allegedly assaulted her.

Sonal was later whisked away from another exit. She flew with another airlines to her destination.

According to sources, the duo share an intimate relationship. They were neighbors in Delhi and have been seeing each other since then.

Sahil Zaroo, scion of one of Srinagar’s richest families was linked in Rahul Mahajan’s drug overdose case and in a Shahtoosh shawls theft case.

Chauhan gave her career preference over Zaroo, which probably annoyed him.

After Chauhan filed a complaint against Zaroo at the domestic airport police station, he was arrested and booked under IPC sections 354 (molestation), 323 (assault), 504 (verbal abuse), 506 (issuing threats), 448 and 427 (unauthorised entry without a valid ticket)

Bank robbers Execute 8 Bank Employees

In a bizarre and inhuman criminal act, at least eight bank employees and a security guard were lined up and shot in the head on Friday in one of the bloodiest bank robberies in the Philippines.

The victims were found sprawled on the floor of a branch of the Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. in Cabuyao town in Laguna province, south of Manila, after the bank failed to open as scheduled at 9 a.m. and suspicious customers alerted authorities, Chief Superintendent of Police Ricardo Padilla said.

"This is the handiwork of the devil and we will not let this pass," Padilla said. "They were killed in a gangland-style execution. Each of the victims shot in the head while lined up."

Padilla said the robbers could have used silencers because residents in the area heard no gunshots coming from the bank.

He said two security guards were missing, leading authorities to suspect they were involved in the robbery. Another police officer, speaking on local radio, said there was no sign of forceful entry.

Padilla said another security guard was among the dead. It wasn't clear how much money was stolen.

Bank Vice President Edwin Ermita told The Associated Press the assailants tried to hide the body of the security guard under a tarpaulin in the rear of the bank.

Laguna provincial police chief Felipe Rojas said a vehicle owned by one of the bank employees was used by the robbers to escape. It was later recovered several miles away and will be checked for fingerprints, he said.

He said the bank employees, including two inside the open bank vault, were shot point-blank.

Empty handgun shells were recovered on the bank floor and a shotgun believed owned by the slain security guard was found outside, he said.

Bank robberies are common but rarely as bloody. Rojas said this was the worst in the country's history.

US Marine Guilty for Raping 14-year old Japanese Girl

A U.S. Marine Charged with rape and other violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice in the alleged sexual assault of 14-year old girl in Okinawa pleaded guilty.

The U.S. Marine pleaded guilty Friday to abusive sexual contact with a child under 16, bringing to a close a criminal case that caused outrage in Japan.

The Offender Staff. Sgt. Tyrone L. Hadnott was sentenced to four years of confinement, said First Lt. Judd Wilson, a Marine spokesman in Okinawa, Japan.

The Marine Corps withdrew several other charges, including rape of a child, kidnapping and making a false official statement, Wilson said.

Japanese police arrested Hadnott in February on charges alleging that he raped a 14-year-old junior-high school student. He saw her while riding his motorcycle, offered to give her a ride and later assaulted her at a park, the police said then.

The case stirred outrage at the highest levels of the Japanese government.

Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda deplored the incident as "unforgivable." The Japanese Foreign Ministry lodged an official protest with the U.S. government. And Okinawa Gov. Hirokazu Nakaima said the offense "violates the rights of women" and that "this is a crime that we should not accept."

The Japanese authorities released Hadnott after the girl withdrew her allegations, but the Marine Corps conducted its own investigation. The Marines charged Hadnott with rape of a child, abusive sexual contact, making a false official statement, adultery and kidnapping.

The U.S. military presence has at times bred resentment among locals, who have long complained about crime, noise and accidents. Anti-American sentiments boiled over in 1995, after three American servicemen kidnapped and gang-raped a 12-year-old Okinawan schoolgirl. Two years ago, a U.S. civilian military employee was jailed for nine years for raping two women.

The Marine Corps said in a statement on Friday that it does not tolerate sexual assault.

"We remain committed to maintaining an environment that rejects sexual assault and attitudes that promote such behaviors," the statement said.

Man jailed for Daughter's Flunking

Are your kids flunking their class? You better worry because a man ordered by a judge to make sure his daughter hit the books and passed her grades, has found himself in jail because she failed to earn a high school diploma.

Brian Gegner, of Fairfield, was sentenced last week to 180 days in jail for contributing to the unruliness or delinquency of a minor.

He was ordered months ago to make sure his 18-year-old daughter Brittany Gegner, who has a history of truancy, received her GED - something that hasn't happened yet.

Brittany Gegner, who said Monday that she plans to take a required GED test this month, said her father shouldn't be blamed for her failure because she has been living with her mother.

"It was my wrongdoing, not his," said Brittany Gegner, whose fiance and 18-month-old daughter also live at her mother's home in nearby Hamilton. "He shouldn't have to go to jail for something I did."

Her mother agrees. "Brittany is almost 19 years old now and I think it's unfair to put her father in jail," said Shana Roach. "She's an adult now, and it's not right to rip an innocent man from his home."

Butler County Juvenile Court administrator Rob Clevenger Jr. said Monday that the court still has jurisdiction in the case because Brittany Gegner was a juvenile when the truancy problems began and when the charge against Brian Gegner was filed in 2007.

A hearing on a motion filed by Brian Gegner's attorney to reconsider the sentence is scheduled for Friday. Messages seeking comment were not returned Monday at the offices of defense attorney Tamara Sack and the Butler County prosecutor.

Brian Gegner's wife, Stephanie Gegner, said she and her husband are afraid he will lose his job if he remains in jail. She said they tried to keep his daughter in school.

"You'd take her to school and she'd go out the other door," Stephanie Gegner said.

1840 in Austria pose for nude picture

Over 1,800 men and women posed nude for a U.S. photographer in Austria's Ernst Happel stadium on Sunday.

Spencer Tunick, notorious for his works featuring hundreds of naked people at unusual venues, requested his 1,840 participants to wear no sunglasses, no smiling, and no underwear.

The participants were not paid, but were promised to receive signed pictures of the photo-shoot.

The stadium will host seven of the Euro 2008 soccer championship matches being staged by Austria and Switzerland, including the June 29 final.

New York-born Tunick described Sunday's shooting on his website as combining "the spirit of sports, the grand sweeping waves of stadium architecture and the abstract relation of the human form to modern structures."

The number of participants still fell short of the symbolic "at least 2,008" Tunick had hoped to get, ahead of the Euro 2008 tournament.

Tunick had created several installations of large-scale nude projects from Mexico City to the Netherlands, Barcelona and Newcastle.

Amazing Crop Circles Appear

What are Crop Circles?

Crop circles is a term used to describe patterns created by the flattening of crops such as wheat, barley, rapeseed, rye, corn, linseed and soy. The term was first used by researcher Colin Andrews to describe simple circles he was researching.

Since 1990 the crop circles evolved into complex geometries, but by then the term had stuck. Examples can be found worldwide. Various hypotheses have been offered to explain their formation, ranging from the naturalistic to the paranormal. Naturalistic explanations include man-made hoaxes or geological anomalies, while paranormal explanations include formation by UFOs. Many circles are known to be man-made, as those created by Doug Bower, Dave Chorley, and John Lundberg, and a 2000 study into circle hoaxing concluded that 80 percent of UK circles were definitely man-made

Tennessee Crop Circles

Man-made or alien-aligned? For the second time in two years, a crop circle's appeared in Monroe County.
Does anyone know what made this? Not just yet, but everyone has their own theory. This new designs just down the road from the first crop circle. That appeared last May also in a wheat field. Neighbors say whoever, or whatever did it worked quickly and quietly. Beyond still-standing blades, there are others pushed in a perfect pattern.

"I don't know whether it's man-made or not," resident Johnnie Helm said.

It's the second Monroe County Crop Circle in two years. These lines and curves appeared in Johnnie Helm's 50-acre wheat field Monday morning.

"I didn't hear nothing. And I'm up and down all night," Helm said.

Her neighbor, Jean Merrell first spotted the bent blades.

"I always look out the window, and I thought, my goodness, what's in the field? What's happened?" resident Jean Merrell said.

The "what"? Well, the crushed crops form a triangle. At each corner a pair of circles, but "how" and "who" wilted the wheat is a crop quandary.

"I really don't think it's man-made. I don't believe anyone could do that, that quick and so perfect," Merrell said.

These thin lines are the only paths in and out. Helms says they're from crop fertilization and they've been here months. The new field phenomena's less than a half mile from last May's Crop Circle just outside Madisonville. Investigators ruled that design "non man-made." Crop circle researches came to investigate last year's design. As for this one, they want to come back.

"They'd have to be very careful, cause I ain't talked to the man I rent it to," Helm said.

"I think it's something fantastic myself," Merrell said.

"If it's aliens and they want me, they'll come and get me. Will you put up a fight? No. Why? I'll talk to them. What if you don't speak Alien? They better speak English," Helm said.

And Helm wants to know...why her backyard?

Investigators with the independent crop circle researchers organizations plan to scientifically test this design next week, but they still have to get helm's permission.

We've haven't revealed the exact location on purpose. Her land's private property. She doesn't want strangers trampling the crops. So public visits are off-limits, for now.

Cousins Travel to War Zones for Holiday Fun

You and I search the travel brochure for peaceful, beautiful and maybe cheap holiday Getaways, but these two English cousins search the news for the strife torn areas on the globe. Two English cousins travel to war zones across the globe for adventure travel. They seek dangerous holidays for fun.

Their decision on where to travel next is based on how bad the condition in a given area is. The worse the better. Guns and gore is their cuppa tea.

They said their families did not mind. They asked their kids if they would prefer a dad at home who goes to work five days a week and drinks beer in front of the television on the week end or one who is daring enough to go to places where no sane traveler would go.The kid, it seems, was all thumbs up for Dad's travel mania.

As of now they have been to Afghanistan, Tribal areas of Pakistan (totally lawless area). They had a close call with the Taliban in Afghanistan. They barely survived the Chernobyl radiation. Both of them are fond of guns and have fired different weapons in different countries.

The cousins take help of locals to see the area and get a first hand experience of the suffering and pain of the refugees. They have had a few close shaves with life threatening situations, but then that is the whole point of their travel.

When asked where they would be heading next? They said they were keen on Angola. I hope the situation there does not improve too much for their taste.

Good luck fellas, as for me I would take a peaceful beach holiday over an all paid for Iraqi sight seeing trip. To each his own I guess.
